Phuket’s Light and Sound Shows Dazzle Tourists

“Vijitr” Light and Sound Shows in five regions that have been launched in key tourist-destination provinces to provide an immersive and memorable event experience to tourists. There will be 15 lighting shows in two areas, the Phuket Old Town and the Saphan Hin Park. Highlights of the shows include the use of lighting to highlight the beautiful Sino-Portuguese architecture of the old Chartered Bank building in the old town.

Thailand’s Koh Samui Cruise Terminal Set to Open by 2032

A cruise terminal in Koh Samui is expected to open in 2032 to boost tourism in Surat Thani,construction of the project is expected to start in 2029 and take at least three years to complete. The cruise terminal is anticipated to be fully operational in 2032. The terminal is estimated to handle 120 cruise landings annually and attract at least 180,000 cruise visitors a year.

Thai botanists collaborated to establish the Flora of Thailand project, which effectively started researching the country’s flora in 1967. The research and data collection of plant species require extensive collaboration from many expert plant taxonomists. The findings are published in the book Flora of Thailand, which serves as a guide for recognizing various plant families and provides botanical information on the species.
